Dennis I can remember when I first move to Kansas I lived on Reynolds, a couple houses up from the corner store. And the store was my favorite place to go, if I didn’t have enough, you had me covered you gave me and my siblings candy and sodas! I will always remember you for being so kind and giving, and being a hardass when needed haha! You will be greatly missed!

I’m very upset by all this! Dennis had just called me a couple of weeks ago and I have been so busy and tied up I haven’t even had a chance to respond to his voice mail. My memories are from our childhood and an on going competition of who could eat the most tacos when uncle Cedric and aunt Betty came to visit. Dennis was there when my Dad was in the hospital ( Dennis’s uncle Chet ) he told me if I need any help what so ever to call, but he kept coming to the hospital to check on me. We are family. I liked how he always called me brother. I never met his daughter or his wife or grand kids. I had always hoped I get a chance to visit and he always talked about a vacation to visit me here in Colorado. I thought we’d have plenty of time yet. A note to David; I do not have your phone number to call you, I’m still looking for Carl Donny’s if you have it . My number is on Dennis’s phone or you can reach me at 720-350-9451

Dennis was a friend. We were classmates from kindergarten on up. II always liked Dennis. He was a very generous spirit He went through some hard times and managed to succeed after all that I will miss stopping at the corner store to visit with him and eat his good food. I talked to him the days before this episode and he was in a good place I feel for those who were close to him and saw him regularly.

Dennis was a friend indeed. He would help anyone who reached out. Had a heart of gold. He just gave me a ride to the bus stop last year when I got a flat tire in Ks headed home to Mo even though he really needed to stay at the store. He cooked a mean philly cheese and Turkey melt. Always positive and head strong to make good and he did. Proud of your recreation of the store of desire to succeed. You will be missed. Happy birthday in heaven. See ya again someday.
