Funeral Mass for Jose “Joe” Valente Moreno, Kansas City, will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 8th, 2019 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with burial t o follow at Maple Hill Cemetery
Joe passed away November 5th, 2019 in Kansas City, Kansas at home surrounded by his family.
Joe was born May 21st , 1959, Mexico City, Mexico, the son of Crescencio and Maria Moreno.
Joe was a hardworking man, devoted Husband and Father. He loved to spend his time with his family and friends. He had a great love for Basketball, Club America soccer and certainly loved his Chiefs. Joe would spend countless hours watching his grandchildren share in his love for soccer attending games and helping them practice. He will be greatly missed.
Joe is survived by his wife, Esperanza Moreno; children, Jose Valente Moreno, Eric Christopher Moreno and Jennifer Crystal Jaquez; seven grandchildren, Silicia Ariana Moreno, Jose Valente Moreno III (Jose), Alyssa Leanna Moreno, Xavier Ramon Moreno, Zoey Amira Moreno (Eric), Carmelo Jaquez and Malia Ava Jaquez (Jennifer; siblings, Gregorio Moreno, Miguel Moreno, Mario Moreno, Fernando Moreno, Martin Moreno, Leo Moreno, Anna Villareal, Virginia Ontiveros, Hortencia Arreola, Araceli Alvarado, Nelly Rizo and Laura Valadez and many extended family members.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Crescencio and Maria Moreno; grandparents, Gregorio and Virginia Moreno and padrino Luis/step grandpa.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 7th, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Larkin & Garcia Funeral Care.

Just found out about Joe’s passing,I worked with Joe for years at stone container, he was a good man, we talked allot, just saw him a few months ago at oak park mall and he looked great, Dios Bendiga La Familia Moreno, Paul Loya.
