Dashiell Alexander Gonzalez,17, passed away In Independence, Missouri on April 22nd,2023.

Dashiell was born in Kansas City, Missouri to his loving parents Damaris Chinhilla and Christian Gonzalez. “Dash” was a lovable, giggly toddler who could bring a smile to anyone, especially whenever he’d flash his huge mischievous smile. Dashiell grew up in the Kansas City area where he frequented the church, Mission Adelante; it was within those walls as well as with the guidance of loved ones Dashiell gained an immense love for God. As Dashiell entered the teenage years, he was known to find humor in any situation, he frequently could light up a room with his humor or by just breaking out in dance. He was truly filled with an abundance of joy that simply radiated from his being. Dashiell enjoyed spending his time playing or watching his favorite sports soccer, basketball, and wrestling. Whenever Dashiell was not enjoying a game, he loved to just connect with nature, sitting by the river while fishing or you could catch him lost in his thoughts writing and producing his original music. Dashiell thoughts will always be memorialized through his music that he made under the name "Godly Type". Dashiell will be missed by all those that had the pleasure of just meeting him, if even for a moment.

Dashiell was survived by his parents Damaris and Christian and his younger sister.

Dashiell is and always will be an unforgettable force that will always be “17”. May those that loved him always have a warm thought of him anytime they encounter his favorite color of yellow.
