Celebration of life for John Wesley, 74, Kansas City, KS will be at 11a.m. Tuesday November 13th, 2018 at the American Legion Post 370. John passed away November 6, 2018, at Home surrounded by family. He was born November 6, 1944 in Kansas City, KS the son of George Wesley Smith and Nora Allen Chedotte. John and Bonnie married March 1, 1994 and they remained together since then. He worked as a truck driver. John was involved in the American Legion 370. He was a big fan of KC Chiefs and Jayhawks. He enjoyed sports, Nascar, camping and specially fishing. He loved the outdoors and cherished spending time with his grandchild and one great grandchild fishing. Survivors include Daughters; Sharon Lynne Huerta and Linda Kay Perez-Garcia, Kansa City, KS, Son; Wesley Keith Smith (Candice) GA. Sister; Connie Frantz (Gerald) S. Dakota, Brothers; Joe Miller (Tammy) Ottowa, KS. Tim Smith (Sherry) Illinois, Michael Smith Illinois, and ten grandchildren, Briana, Jesus (Little man), Brandon, Audriana, Dasiy, Judy, Kasey, Mason, Ty, Baylee and eleven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers Tomas Quick, George W. Smith Jr., Ronnie Smith, and Brian Smith. John will also be missed by his extended family which includes many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and many others he touched throughout his life. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday November 13th, 2018 at the American Legion Post 370 for pot luck dinner. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions may be made to the Funeral Home in help with the funeral expense. For more information please contact the Funeral Home.
