Nicholas David Richardson

April 16, 2009 – October 29, 2022

Nicholas David Richardson was born April 16, 2009, in Wichita, Kansas. Nick was a beloved son and brother, and an awesome friend.

He liked to laugh and have fun, and he had a great sense of humor. He also really loved to make others laugh, whether it be with a joke, funny faces, or silly expressions. Nick always wanted to be in the middle of whatever was going on. His energy, joy, and eagerness were hard to match. He had an often sweet, yet sometimes mischievous, smile that warmed numerous hearts.

Nick and his sisters were the best Christmas gift ever when they joined the Richardson family in December 2018. Nick was 9 years old. He and his sisters were formally adopted by Elise Richardson the next year, in September 2019.

Nick certainly had a playful spirit. From annoying his sisters, to playing pranks, to sharing the lyrics of the latest song stuck in his head, Nick could definitely be counted on to brighten any room or lift anyone's spirits.

Many who knew Nick have been touched by his empathy and caring nature. His heart just always seemed to create more room for others. He was quick to jump in and help anyone. Nick would be there to offer a “fist bump” or kind words of encouragement.

Nick loved learning, and he especially enjoyed figuring out how things worked, even if it meant taking them apart! He was incredibly curious, and amazingly creative. He could build the coolest things with Legos, and he was likely an engineer in the making. We can just imagine him in Heaven with God asking all kinds of questions!

On October 29th, 2022, at the age of 13, Nick passed away after a tragic accident. Nick was taken from us suddenly and far too soon. Our lives are richer for knowing him. Our hearts are better for loving him and being loved by him, and he will never be forgotten.

Nicholas David Richardson is survived by his mother, Elise Richardson, his sisters, Christine and Susie, and the countless others who were privileged to be a part of his life.
