Benjamin Bryant Merricks Jr. February 2,1981-April 2,2020 Benjamin Bryant Merricks Jr.,39, of Kansas City, Missouri passed on April 2,2020. Ben was born to Benjamin Bryant Merricks Sr, of Richmond Virginia, and Michele Kay Johnson, of Salina Kansas, at Williams Air Force Base, Arizona on February 2,1981. Ben was married to Anna Frances Vitale on September 22, 2008. Ben was a proud father to Holly Veda Merricks and Maggie May Merricks. Ben loved his family dearly and was an incredible father. He had a smile that could brighten the darkest of days, and was especially known for his warm, strong hugs. Ben enjoyed spending his time with his family in nature or traveling, going to the movies with his father, and playing video games with his friends. Ben was the type of person who would help anyone that he could to his fullest ability. He was a huge animal lover and loved his pets greatly. Ben had a big heart and a playful spirit. He often had nicknames for those around him and always loved a great prank. Ben is greatly missed by all that loved him dearly and will forever live on in our hearts. Ben is survived by Wife, Anna Merricks; Daughter, Holly Merricks; Daughter, Maggie Merricks; Father, Benjamin Merricks Sr.; Sister, Heidi Beatty(Josh Beatty); Nephew, Jordan Merricks; Niece, Kylee Zerbe; Father in law, Paul Vitale; Mother in law, Grace Vitale; Brother in law, Bennie Vitale(Lori Vitale);Brother in law, Tony Vitale; Sister in law Katie Grither (Matt Grither), and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a fund supporting the future educations of Ben's daughters, Holly and Maggie.
