Bertha May Fisher

Bertha May Fisher, 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the University of Kansas Medical Center on September 5, 2023.

Bertha was born on March 4, 1943, in Stillwater Oklahoma to her parents Clarence Earl Brake and Violet Ann Brake (Gaither). On January 20, 1963, Bertha married her husband and lifelong partner James Dale Fisher. From this union they were blessed with 4 beautiful children.

Bertha enjoyed being a homemaker, taking care of her family and traveling. Her hobbies where shopping and cheering for her favorite basketball teams.

Bertha was proceeded in death by her parents, Clarence and Violet Brake: her brothers, Donald Brake, Vernon Brake, Wilbur Brake, and James Brake; her sisters June Wyant and Nina Faye Drake; two sons Robert Fisher and Baby Fisher, and her son-in-law Marty Ferrell.

Bertha is survived by her husband, James Fisher; two daughters, Angela Ferrell and Heather (Kenny) Dagenett; her brother Charles Brake; her sisters Margaret Rider and Donna Rashidifard; six grandchildren; Brian (Courtney) Ferrell, Brooke (Mike) Cathcard, Brad (Justyne) Ferrell, Brandon Fisher, Taylor (Tristan) Barnes and Haley Dagenett , and her 12 great grandchildren.
