Courtney Dewayne Stallings

June 24, 1983 — April 24, 2021

Courtney Dewayne Stallings was born June 24,1983 in Kansas City, Kansas to Kim Richardson and Amos Stallings. Courtney attended Benjamin Banneker and Douglas Elementary, Northwest Middle School and Wyandotte High School. As a young boy Courtney was a member of Greater Faith Deliverance Temple and always kept his faith in God throughout his life. Courtney better known as "Big K" was a very loving person. Even though he may have always been the quiet one, he was always ready for a laugh or some family fun. Family was everything to Courtney and he made sure you knew he was going to protect them by any means necessary. He followed his Sister-Mom LaKisha to California for a change of scenery. While in California he became very close with his nieces, nephew, great niece, and great nephews. He loved his hometown Kansas and all his family there especially his two children Kourtney Stallings and Nyilon Stallings, which he loved more than life itself. Courtney enjoyed hanging out with Kiana, Kayana, and Greg 'Lil G', great niece Kalia and great nephews Khi'Yaun and Khalil in California. While in California, Courtney "Big K", gained a huge number of friends and extended family that he grew to love. He also enjoyed hanging out with his cousin Briana and best friend Simone 'Mona' back home in Kansas any chance he got. He just loved hanging out and enjoying life the best way he knew how. Call him Mr. "What The &%^$" one of his favorite phrases turned into the very phrase we all will be using for some time to come. Courtney aka Big K aka Chopp aka Chopp Suwii is forever loved and will be remembered and missed by many. His laughs and his loving heart will always be something we, his family, will cherish forever. Thessalonians 4:13-14 "Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him." Courtney will be flying high to reunite with his loving Mother Kim Richardson, his maternal grandparents, Helen Henderson and Doy Savage and his extended grandfather Louis Roark, his paternal grandparents Amos Stallings Sr. and Esther Houcks, his aunts Yolanda 'Peaches' Evans, Delores Dunn-Sumler and uncles Tracy Henderson and Jeffrey Henderson. They all will embrace each other with hugs and kisses as he joins the pack of angels above. Courtney leaves behind his pride and joy his two children Kourtney Stallings and Nyilon Stallings; his father Amos Stallings, Jr., two sisters, LaKisha Richardson and Angela Stallings-McCoy (Ernest), two brothers, Eric Stallings and Antouan Rucker, aunts LaTrice Jones (Derrick), Rowena Graves, Vickie McConnell, uncles Gary Stallings, Perry Houcks and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. I'll just wait in heaven, till we meet again. I know you miss me; just remember I am free. Free from pain and sorrow, God's love fills each tomorrow. My love's in your heart, we'll never be apart. Cherish the love we share, Remember how much I care. Someday we'll be together. Because love lives forever! So, I'll just wait in heaven, Till we meet again.
