Damian Stephen Fuentes Sr.,26, was born on January 24th, 1996, in Overland Park, Kansas to his loving parents Stephen Fuentes and Sicily Freisner. Damian grew up in Kansas City and the surrounding areas where he became well known among his peers. Damian attended Holy Name Catholic School grade kindergarten through eighth grade where he excelled in many astute areas and played his favorite sport which was Basketball. It was during his time in attendance at Holy Name Catholic School he gained his foundation of love and faith in God. Damian then transitioned to begin his high school years at Shawnee Mission West Highschool. During his high school years Damian left a beautiful solid mark on all those he met, he was charismatic, kind, and intelligent. Prior to graduating Damian’s positive attitude and never wavering desire to help others he was nominated and awarded “Most Improved & Accomplished Student” in his graduating class of 2014.
After graduating high school Damian grew to be phenomenal man after many life experiences that lead him to seek a path of self-growth, understanding, and empathy as he began his mission to help others like himself, with the help of non-profit organization “Artist Helping the Homeless”.
During Damian’s short time on earth, he touched many people, especially the lives of his children. He adored spending time with his “Irish-twins” and all his beloved family. Those that knew Damian well will always have a reason to smile anytime they see a pair of Air Jordans, a fresh hat or someone dressed in Nike or Champion as Damian was known to have a swag anytime he was dressed, and these were all his favorite things. Damian could always be found cheering on one of his favorite teams like the Chiefs, Royals or Mizzou and when he wasn’t enjoying a game you could find him getting lost in his favorite music or obsessing over what would be his next tattoo. Damian’s antics, kind heart and big smile will truly be missed.
