Services for Douglas "Doug" Griggs Asher, 60, Kansas City, will be at 2pm Thursday August 16, 2018 at Larkin & Garcia Funeral Care. with a private burial. Mr. Asher died Sunday August 12, 2018 at home surrounded by family. He was born February 10, 1958 in Kansas City, KS the son of Farrell Pigg and Jean Pigg Criss. Mr. Asher graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1976. He was a member Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers. Mr. Asher is survived by Pam Asher. Other survivors include "favorite daughter", Andria Asher (Adam Pemberton), Holden, MO; son, Douglas "Joey" Griggs Asher II, KCK, Brandon Bell, KCK, Ian Scott, KCK; grandchildren, Jimmy Dale, Raelynn Jo, Memphis Griggs, and Lily Grace; two brothers, Clarence Asher (Maggie), Eddie Pigg (LaDonna); and sisters, Janette McCowan, Sue Yeagle; Brother in law Jack Knaus; Sister in law Patty Knaus; "Favorite niece" Bernie Connery; Additional survivors Tara Dodson, and Jana Asher The family will receive friends from 1 p.m.- 2 p.m. Thursday August 16, 2018, at Larkin & Garcia Funeral Care.
