Edgar Gonzalez was born on November 23, 1989 in Bellflower, California to Emigdio Gonzalez and Virginia Uribe. He gained his wings on January 31, 2025 in Overland Park, Kansas.
Edgar spent his childhood and most of his adult life in Long Beach, California. He absolutely loved Long Beach and couldn’t wait to go back someday.
In 2007, Edgar graduated from Millikan High School in Long Beach, California. In 2016, he went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University Long Beach (CSULB). Then, he decided to pursue his Master of Public Administration degree from CSULB in 2019. The summer of 2019 he came to visit his sister and nephew for a while and decided to stay and make a go out of the Midwest. He began his career as a Technical Expert at the Social Security Administration where he worked to the present day.
Edgar enjoyed playing his guitars, running, computer games, music, going to concerts, trying new foods, riding his bicycles (yes, more than one) and reading books. He also loved to ride around in his Bolt EUV. Edgar considered himself a coffee connoisseur and he enjoyed tuning in to NPR (before it was cool). His favorite sports team was the Boston Red Sox. His nephew Jayden also had a special place in his heart… and we can’t forget all his pets that he dearly loved: Jewel, Indie, Milo, Kirby, Kiwi, Sox, Dot, Rohan and Sheila.
Edgar is survived by his parents, Virginia and Emigdio; siblings, Ernesto, Oneida, Graciela y Israel; nieces and nephews, Jayden, Ethaniel, Melanie, Ezra and Elaia; bonus nieces and nephews, Jaxon, Kierra, Lily, Wyatt, Isabella, and Jacob.
Le encantaba Long Beach y no podía esperar a volver algún día.
