Gabriela Carrillo

Gabriela was born on January 26, 1935 in Kansas City, Kansas to Salvador and Ignacia Villa. On May 9, 2021 she left her earthly body to join her loved ones at the gates of heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Nieves Villa, Salvador Villa and John Frank Villa; sisters Catalina Lopez, Conception Murillo, Mercedes Bardwell and Juana Vaca; and granddaughter Mary. She leaves behind her beloved husband, Jose Luis Carrillo, daughters, Cynthia Jane Newcomb, Gloria Jean Zavala, Yvonne Renne Carrillo and Ursula Carrillo; grandchildren, Salina Marie Renteria, Christopher Noel Zavala, Joseph Efrain Zavala, Guadalupe Zavala, Tina Lee Martinez and Robert Newcomb, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Santana Jose Renteria, Olivia Annaliese Renteria, Jaeson Alejandro Villa, Emiliano Emmanuel Zavala, Salvador Tony Zavala, Cataleya Zavala, Charlyse Zavala, Frederick Meyer, Jasmine Meyer, Isaiah Byrd and Angelique Byrd and one great-great grandson, Marion. She leaves behind one sister, Ignacia Jimenez, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, sister-in-law Luz Elena Marin, brother-in-law Eduardo Carrillo and four stepchildren. Gabriela loved to sit for hours and do crossword puzzles, play solitaire, play with her grandkids, and try her luck at scratcher tickets; and she was very lucky over the years. She spent the last 20 years of her life doing what she loved best; feeding kids and taking care of her love, Luis when he could no longer take care of himself. We love you Mom and we'll miss you dearly.
