Jacqueline Elaine Williams

February 27, 1939 — January 6, 2024

Jacqueline Elaine Williams,84, passed away in Kansas City, Missouri on January,06,2024. Private services entrusted to Larkin & Garcia Funeral Care.

Jacqueline Elaine Williams was born on February 27, 1939, in Kansas City, MO to

Dorothy and Sidney Miller.

Jackie was an only child, but she had many cousins that she grew up with that were in

her same age group. Jackie Carter was her first cousin, and they were best friends.

Although her parents ended up divorcing, Jackie was the very lucky recipient of the most

amazing stepfather in Booker T. Moore, and stepmother, Marie. She was loved

immensely by all four of her parents, and she was very blessed as she navigated her way

through life, with their unwavering support.

Jackie graduated from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, and went on to teach in the

Los Angeles Unified School District. She was fluent in Spanish, and taught ESL to many

first-generation American children, whose parents immigrated to California from

Mexico.

Jackie was married once to Charles Williams, and while the marriage didn’t last forever,

the two remained friends for over 60 years. Jackie was a mother to his three children,

and with them she enjoyed traveling, cooking, dancing, and helping them with their

homework.

Jackie was a very beautiful, kind, and giving soul. She was always willing to go the extra

mile and be there in someone’s time of need and expected nothing in return. She rarely

ever got upset, or had anything bad to say about anyone, and had an immense amount

of patience and tolerance.

Once she retired, she moved back to Kansas City from Los Angeles, but she continued

to travel back to Los Angeles and Las Vegas, where she loved to sip her key lime

martinis, and margaritas, while she watched a live band on the strip, or attend a

concert.

She is survived by her best friend Charles Ellis Williams, her daughter Ariana, cousins

Phyllis, and Delana, and a host of other cousins and relatives, and dear friends from all

over the country.
