John Lee “J.B.” Brown Jr, 59, of Kansas City, Kansas passes away on November 19th,2022. John was born at Bethany Medical Center on January 17th,1963 to his beloved parents Levona & John Sr. John grew up in the Armourdale area, as years went on, he ventured a bit further out where he became well known and respected in the Argentine community. John attended JC Harmon Highschool where he proudly graduated from in 1981. After graduating John continued to enjoy life, married, and had five amazing children.
John was a hard-working, caring man that dutifully worked for TC Transcontinental for 13 years, a company that he held close to his heart. Whenever John was not hard at work, you could find him enjoying a game as he was an avid Chiefs & K.U. fan that would rarely miss a game. Anyone that had the honor of sharing a game along with some of John’s favorite snacks (whole milk, Reese’s, Nutty Bars or Swiss Rolls) knew that it was a requirement to cheer for his favorite teams or John would swiftly kick you out of his house!
John adored all those he met in this life & was known to be the kind of man that would give the shirt off his back to those in need; his life’s ambition was to make this world a better place even if it was just to make someone smile. John was a kind and amazing man year-round, but during the holiday season John illuminated an extra sparkle & aura of light. He shared his love of not only Christmas but his family by playing Santa for more than 13 years on each Christmas morning. John will be deeply missed.
John was preceded in death by his mother Levona Isabell Brown, father John Brown Sr & his sister Lisa Fry as well as his previous father-in-law whom he adored Julian Ramirez.
John is survived by his children Sondra Cruz Brown, Sarah Brown, John Lee Brown III, Joshua Brown, and Jacob Brown. John also leaves behind 17 grandchildren that he loved deeply.
