Joseph “Joe Alaniz” Sr., 52, of Kansas City, Mo. Passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday June 5, 2022. Joseph was born Friday November 28th 1969 in Kansas City, Mo to Noe Sr and Paula (Negrete) Alaniz. Joseph enjoyed working for Christo Rey High School as a bus diver until he was diagnosed with cancer and was unable to continue. His Family was his everything and he enjoyed spending time hanging out with siblings, nephews, and nieces. His children were his joy and he spent as much time as he could making lasting memories. Joe was always upbeat and positive, always there for anyone who needed him. Joe was the type of guy who everyone went to for advice and his input or thoughts were always requested. Joe was not only a wonderful father to his children Joey, Anthony and Vanessa, he was also a loving father figure to so many and loved by us all for the amazing and selfless person that he was. Joe was an avid Chiefs fan and loved to watch them win or lose. He loved to watch documentaries, but he loved his movies. He could tell you what quotes came from what movies without hesitation. Joe was a loving Father, Dad, brother, uncle, friend and soulmate. He was a pillar of our family and will be missed greatly by all who knew him. HE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. Joseph was preceded in death by his loving parents Noe Sr and Paula N. Alaniz, his brothers: Noe Alaniz Jr., Rafael Alaniz,, Roberto Alaniz and Reynaldo Alaniz: as well as his sisters Anna Marie Garcia and Eliza Maria Alaniz and his nephew: Roberto Antonio Alaniz Sr. Joseph is survived by his children Joseph Alaniz Jr., Anthony Joseph Alaniz, Vanessa Renee Alaniz, his nephews Steven Mark Hernandez and Joseph Michael Hernandez that he raised as his own. The love of his life Olivia Chacon, his brothers Jesse Alaniz (Liz), Ricardo Alaniz. His sisters: Lydia Alaniz, Maria Alaniz, Consuelo Alaniz (Jason) and Paula Alaniz, Brother in law: John Garcia Sr, sister in law Rosie Alaniz, several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews , one great- great niece and great -great nephew.
