Linda Lea Jansen passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021. She was born on August 8, 1944 to Tilda and Richard Barnes. Linda's parents and Husband, Howard Jansen, preceded her in death. Linda was the youngest of nine children. She has one brother, Jim Barnes, remaining. Linda was the mother of four children Daniel Draves Jr., Michelle Salamanca, Howard Jansen II, and Jennifer Smith. Linda was a proud Nana and Granny to many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Linda resided in Kansas City, Kansas with her two dogs Killer and Kaya, three cats Ginger, Indy and Dottie; and an occasional visit from Big Daddy, the illegitimate father of Indy and Dottie, who would appear only to empty the food bowls and nap. Linda made a living working in the Radiology Department at Bethany Hospital for many years. Following her time at Bethany she became "Nana" to the many children she babysat. Linda was a kind, loving soul who was cherished by her family and friends. She enjoyed spending her time around family, especially her grandchildren. Linda had the the biggest heart and was always willing to help anywhere she was needed. Linda was a lover of all snacks and desserts. Linda was always up for an adventure whether it was riding the roller coasters at Disney World or cruising the aisles for hours at Walmart on her scooter, occasionally knocking over an end cap. Linda loved a good deal and could be found hitting up a thrift store, dollar store, bargain or clearance section. She was funny and always knew how to make us laugh or cheer up. Linda will be missed by everyone who was fortunate enough to have met her. She was the most amazing Mother, Nana, Granny, and friend you could ever wish for. Service and visitation will take place at Larkin and Garcia Funeral Care on June 22, 2021 from 6-8pm.
