Paul, Colleen, Chris, Alex and all your families;
You all know me best as “Grandma Joan” which I have always been so proud to share that name along side Nellie.
Nellie was way more like a sister to me than a co-grandmother and great grandmother. We both didn’t find any reason to not think of all the kids, grand kids and great grand kids that make up our actual families other than they were all part of our combined families. I cherish our many fun times together with Patty and look forward to seeing them again as well as Mike, Bart and Vinnie when it is my turn.
I, being of high risk, won’t be able to personally say my goodbye to Nellie but send all of many thoughts and prayers to each and everyone of you. And last but certainly not least, thank you for the privilege of being considered part of the Rodriguez family for the last 38 years.
Aunt Nellie we will miss your, smile, laugh, jokes, cooking and wisdome you lit the room up. Helen, Rocky, Danny, Matt, Julie, Matt, Eli and Dom shared laughs this weekend in celebration of who you are. love you.
Great dance partner, maker of hot sauce and pies I will miss
