Burial Services for Maria Teresa Gonzalez-Jimenez, 90, Torreon, Coahuila, MX will be Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Maple Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Gonzalez passed away at home on Tuesday, September 25th, 2018. She was born on March 13th, 1928 in Nazas, Durango, MX the daughter of Aurelio Gonzalez-Gurrola and Juana Jimenez-Jauregui. Grandma Teresa -"Abuelita Teresa" was the heart & soul of our family, keeping everyone united even though we were separated from each other by 1300 miles from Torreon to Kansas. We will miss your love, wisdom, big joyful laughter, your stories, your thumbs up when you were happy, your amazing cooking especially chicken mole, gorditas and of course your homemade strawberry empanadas. We thank God for giving us "you" for our Grandma. We will miss you so much Abuelita but we promise to carry your love in our hearts forever." Maria Teresa is survived by her husband Jose Morales-Tarin lovingly known as "Abuelito Pepe." Other survivors include her children, Jesus Esquivel, Virginia Esquivel; grandchildren, Juan Olivas, Sandra Olivas-Talavera, Carlos Olivas, Denise Billaci, Fernando Esquivel, Vanessa Robinson, Ileana Esquivel, Jesus Alejandro Esquivel, Cynthia Esquivel Alarcon Maria Teresa is preceded in death by a daughter, Graciela Esquivel Olivas who pass away in February 17, 2014. Abuelita Teresa's wishes will be honored, and she will be buried with her daughter, Graciela, at Maple Hill Cemetery. For more information, please contact Larkin & Garcia Funeral Care.
