Mary "Ronnie" Lozano

Mary “Ronnie” Lozano, age 72, passed away in Kansas City Missouri on November 1st, 2023.

Mary was born in Kansas City Missouri on May 28th, 1951, to Adolf Lopez and Rose Gutierrez. She attended Westport High School and was raised in the Kansas City area. After school she went on to work for the US Department of Agriculture RMA as an administrative assistant for 41 years.

Mary had one daughter, Alexcia Duran, whom she loved very dearly. She enjoyed going on outings with Alexcia, especially when they would go out to eat and go to the bookstore and thrift store together.

Mary loved music, especially the oldies and doo wop music. She also loved dancing, particularly salsa dancing, and often spent her evenings dancing the night away with her friends.

Mary is preceded in death by her father, Adolf Lopez; brother Adolf Lopez Jr.; and stepfather, Filiberto Gutierrez.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Alexcia Duran (Juan); grandson, Emilio Duran III; mother, Rose Gutierrez; brothers, David Gutierrez (Doug) and Tony Lopez (Sher); sister Regina Fries (Vincent); nephews Anthony Fries (Rebekah) and Bernie Lopez; niece Angela Smith (Doretha); and many great nieces and nephews.

A Repass for Mary will be held following her services on December 1st at Club Sparks, located at 1436 Kansas Ave. Kansas City, Kansas 66105. Food will be provided, however guests are welcome to bring food and drinks as well. Please do not bring alcoholic beverages, alcohol will be provided at the venue.
