Roberto Salvador Ortega Jr.

April 18, 2003 — February 26, 2024

A message from the family,

Roberto Salvador Ortega Jr. (Guero) was born on April the 18th, 2003. He was born and raised in Kansas City, KS and he was so proud to be a KC baby. He was sadly taken away from us in a tragic car accident at the young age of 20 years old on February 26th, 2024.

Roberto had a beautiful and loving soul, with a beautiful face and smile to match, from the first moment he opened his eyes all the way until he closed them forever. His aura was unmatched as there was just something about him that just drew you to him. I don’t know if it’s because of the way he would make you feel loved any time you came around him. Maybe it was the way he would just sit there and crack jokes to make you laugh or it may have been the way he loved you so unconditionally. He could never stay mad at anyone, if you hurt his feelings, he took it to the chin and he never let that change the way he loved you. My baby truly had a heart of gold and if you knew him you know he did. He would take his shirt off his back if you needed it, no questions asked. My baby didn’t always have the sweetest life, but he was the sweetest person you could come across. He had such a sweet soul; but he also had a lot of hardships and heart breaks during his time on earth but one thing about him is he overcame every single one with a smile on his face and somehow with a bigger heart every single time. He was most definitely one of a kind. Many things made him 1 of 1. But it was his unique sense of style that many of us have questioned at least once but he always showed us he really put that on, as he would say. It was also that beautiful smile of his that was accompanied by his cute dark mole right above his lip too, he used to call it his mosca when he was younger because of how big it was. But aside from that he was a real fashion killa, always dressed to impress. That’s the kind of person he was, that’s the person I want everyone to remember forever. My baby was a lover boy, he loved LOVE. He loved everyone single one of us so dearly and I hope and pray you all know that. He wouldn’t want us all messed up about him forever, he would want us to go hard and celebrate his beautiful 20 years of life he had with us. We’re all family now though, that’s how he would see it. Long live my baby. This isn’t a goodbye my baby its a I’ll see you later, so make room pa we coming in deep. I love you way past life.

We will be trusting Larkin and Garcia funeral care with our beloved baby. March 7th we will host his viewing at 6pm to say our goodbyes and March 8th we will all meet at highland park funeral home to put him to rest.
