Rocky Michael Orozco Sr. born on December 6th, 1966, passed away peacefully on August 29th,2022, with his beloved wife near his side. Rocky married the love of his life on January 2nd, 2016, Ginger Hernandez. They lived out their life together traveling. Rocky accomplished a lifelong dream by transferring his job with the United States Postal Service (that he was dutifully employed with for 28 years) to Las Vegas Nevada so he could enjoy the Nevada weather & atmosphere. Rocky retired in 2019, after retiring Rocky moved back to Kansas City to enjoy retirement with his wonderful family.
Rocky was an infectiously happy, jokester, wanna-be- rapper, an all-around good guy that thrived by making others laugh.
Rocky is survived by his wife Ginger. His mother Teresa Orozco, sister Jo Ann Chavez (Frank), brothers John and Angelo Orozco, as well as by many more loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Rocky was preceded in death by his father John Orozco Sr. and dear sister-in-law Laura Orozco.
Mrs. Teresa Orozco is very heartbroken over the loss of her son, she is saying her parting goodbyes on her birthday which brings a great sorrow. Rocky’s sister and brothers are saddened for the unexpected loss of their brother. The Hernandez family will truly miss their brother-in- law & uncle.
His wife Ginger is heartbroken, she cherishes the years they spent together experiencing life, exploring, and traveling. Ginger never wavered in her faith as she prayed for an improvement that would better his final moments. Rocky always dreamed of having a relationship with his estranged children and grandchildren; but due to circumstances out of his control that dream never came to fruition. His heart was broken over those circumstances, but he has now found peace.
Special appreciation to all the (6th floor) caring nurses and staff at Providence Medical Center.
Rocky will be greatly missed by all his family, friends and by all that came across his path during his journey of life!
