Rosemary "Rosie" Garcia Muzquiz

March 9, 1970 — January 22, 2025

Rosemary “Rosie” Garcia-Muzquiz 54, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on January 22nd, 2025, surrounded by her loving and caring family. Rosemary was born on March 9th, 1970 to Michael James and Mary Grace Garcia in Kansas City, KS. She was a lifelong resident of the Westside community and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church where she also received her metal and became a Guadalupana.

Rosemary graduated from Westport high school in 1989. She received her Bachelor of Science and Associate of Arts in 2011 from Metropolitan Community College where she continued employment as a financial aid advisor for several years. She continued the rest of her career at Concorde Community College. Rosie was very hardworking when it came to her job. She enjoyed being with her family and friends who came to visit whether to watch a Chiefs game, celebrating holidays, or just to share a drink while listening to her son Vincent’s music. As the matriarch of her family, Rosie leaves behind a legacy of protecting her loved ones. The profound love she had for her family will be carried on in the hearts of those she left behind.

Rosemary was proceeded in death by her mother, Mary Grace Garcia (Muñoz); her loving son, Vincent Raymond Garcia-Muzquiz; grandparents, Raymond and Tillie Muñoz; her cousin, Paula Ann Garcia.

She is survived by her father, Michael James Garcia; daughter, KarLee Rose Maria Grace Garcia (Julian); sons, Heriberto “Eddie” Muzquiz IV (Lorie), Christopher Lee Evans Jr. (Silvia), Cyan Lee Evans; sister, Maria D. Garcia; brothers, Michael “Leno” (JoAnn) Garcia, Christopher “Dewey” Garcia, John Paul Garcia Sr.; beloved granddaughter, Liliana Marie Muzquiz; and many nieces and nephews who were all very special to her. Rosemary also leaves behind her granddogs, Angel, Ava Rose Evans, and Blaze Santino Garcia-Alvarez.

Rosemary will be dearly missed by all her loved ones. Her family would like to thank everyone who has reached out during these difficult times, and they ask that you please keep them in your prayers.
