Roberto "Scrob" Antonio Alaniz Sr. was born in Kansas City, Missouri to Catherine Perez-Monarca and Ricardo Alaniz, Sr. on October 29, 1980. Robert grew up in the Westside Community, specifically on his most beloved street 29th and Madison. Robert attended Westport High School in KCMO and later began his employment for over 10 years at Carter Waters Construction Materials. Robert had his pride and joy in May of 2005, his junior. Robert was the most selfless person to anyone that crossed his path. If you needed anything, as simple as someone to talk to, Robert was that guy. Robert's hospitality, loyalty, humor, and individuality was unmatched. Robert shared a special bond with each of his loved ones and they knew it because they all had nicknames. Everyone in Robert's life served a significant purpose. Robert enjoyed a party, especially a good Halloween party. Robert loved all genres of music, it just depended on the vibe that day but rest assured, every day came with a playlist. Robert had a lyric catalog embedded in his memory, it's like he wrote every song. If you were fortunate to know Robert you knew that he was a die-hard fan of the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Lakers, Kansas City Royals, and anything Mizzou. When Robert watched a game, he preferred to do this alone, however, it sounded like Arrowhead Stadium in his bedroom...decibels. Robert will always be remembered with every toast made in the family; Rob made you feel like you were right where you were supposed to be when you were in his presence. If the festivities included Bruce Lee, Rocky Balboa, Superman, Kobe Bryant, Sports, video games, Michael Jackson dance movies, music videos, his favorite films, and/or Bud Light, count him in. Robert will be missed by so many people near and far. Robert never discriminated with his love and respect for people. He loved everyone for who they were and never judged a soul. If you were sad, he would be sad with you. Robert was preceded in death by his uncle, Reynaldo Alaniz; his grandparents, Sally Perez (Garcia), Gregory Perez Sr., Paula Alaniz (Negrete), and Noe Sr. Alaniz. He leaves to cherish his memories his parents, a son, Roberto Alaniz Jr.,; siblings, Ricardo Alaniz Jr. (Marciela), Alicia Alaniz (Raul), Jesus Monarca III; 3 nieces, 1 nephew, 1 great niece, 1 great nephew, and many cousins
