Wilfredo "Robert" Esquijarosa, 65, passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on June 24, 1955, the son of Eulalia Rodriguez Rodriguez and Mario Esquijarosa Semino in Florida, Camaguey, Cuba. He emigrated to the United States in 1980, where he first arrived in Miami, Florida. Shortly thereafter he found his way to Kansas City, where he met the love of his life, Julia Marie Castilleja in 1982. They married on November 29, 1997. He was a Christian. He loved watching the Chiefs, Royals and boxing. He enjoyed going to the Casino and playing cards. He loved telling stories about his life in Cuba. He loved taking care of his fur baby, Tiny. He worked for Parker McCrory before retiring in 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, father, grandson in infancy, Michael D. Law and great granddaughter, Yoselyn Alani Eredia-Grado. He leaves behind 10 stepchildren: Veronica V. Law (Charles), Daniel M. Barajas Ceballos (Tamela), Yolanda M. Barajas (Augustine), Sophia L. Barajas (Donald) , Andrea A. Gonzalez (Catarino), Regina A. Gonzalez (Raymond), Julian M. Barajas, Tino Eredia (Melonie), Gabriel B. Eredia (Marie) and Priscilla N. Castilleja, all from the Kansas City metro area; 28 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his mother, siblings: Margarita Neomi Esquijarosa Rodriguez, Usberto Reinaldo Esquijarosa Rodriguez, Martha Rosa Esquijarosa Rodriguez, Paula Estrella Esquijarosa Rodriguez and nieces and nephews. Visitation and a Funeral Service will be at Larkin & Garcia Funeral Care as follows: Visitation: Friday, January 22, 2021 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Service: Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Burial: Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, KS
